history

Here at Jim and Nena's we often hear stories on how our customers "grew up on Jim & Nena's", how they ate Jim & Nena's every Friday, religiously. We love hearing those stories. Our customers recall the smallest details and tell the story like it was yesterday. These stories really are"music to our ears." Without our customers we would not be here.

We will share our story, slightly abridged here. In 1958 Jim and Nena were married, they opened their very first location on W. Market Street, next to The York Fairgrounds(there is currently a Hess gas station where the building formerly stood). After three years at that location they moved to W. Philadelphia Street. Over the next 2 decades Jim and Nena opened 14 other pizzerias, JoJaMa's Famous Chicken, Jim & Nena's Feed and Dispensing Co., several Jim & Nena's Uniform shops, several White Dove Laundromats and White Dove Car Washes.
